The Pet Connection implements positive reinforcement training methods, where the dog learns to face the trigger, but to respond appropriately. Our five behavioral trainers working out of the Kansas City metro have a variety of backgrounds applicable to dog training and behavior. The Pet Connection trainers and behavior members use a team approach in order to implement the ideas that have the highest success rate.

We were the first in this area to offer free training/behavior classes to adopters. The Pet Connection currently focuses on pet adoptions, dog and cat training, aggressive dog rehabilitation, and classes for pet owners. In 2006, The Pet Connection relocated to a facility in Mission that enabled all dogs and cats to have their own rooms while awaiting adoptive homes or being rehabilitated due to behaviors that hindered adoption prospects. We were one of the first no-kill advocacy groups in the Kansas City metro area and the first cage-free facility in Johnson County to offer education about available spay and neuter programs. The Pet Connection was founded in 1999 in Mission, Kansas, to offer shelter for homeless pets, adoptions and training. We have spayed or neutered over 8,000 dogs and cats in our own free and low-cost clinics since 2002 and assisted another 5,800 pets with low-cost services since 2006. Won't be using them again and wouldn't recommend them.Since 1999, The Pet Connection has found homes for more than 7,000 animals and rehabilitated hundreds of dogs and cats with aggression, fear and anxiety issues. Company would like us to go back to Dublin, pack up 52 loose tins (in what as they are unpacked and the box sent was damaged) and then mail them back to them. Left the tins in Dublin as we wouldn't travel with limited space with damaged tins. Company doesn't understand our period in Dublin was to quarantine.
Despite emailing Sunday 9th advising we were leaving the property on Wednesday (12th) we are still swapping emails on the 19th. Later when we started to unpack the other tins, tin after tin after tin was dented (we have photographs). Looking at it, initially we thought the two six packs of were damaged. Two packs of 6 tins left floating to move around. No surprise as the tins of dog food were packaged with no protection (no bubble wrap or anything, box was too weak for the weight). Package arrived damaged (we have photographs).
Travelling from UK to Ireland so we thought we would be smart - order a months worth of food for our dog in Dublin as saves us transporting it from the UK. Well done Pet Connection and thank you for looking after all of my doggie needs over the years.ĥ2 out of 56 tins damaged and zero customer service I would highly recommend both visiting Newry's number 1 pet store in person or by ordering online through this great family friendly service. No other pet store in Newry or beyond comes close in terms of after sales service and professionalism, and I have tried a few! Website ordering is also a doddle, quick efficient and always on time, though I love going into the wonderful store and browsing around their wonderful products. I have had 5 happy dogs up to now that have all grown up healthy and happy due to the care and professionalism of Pet Connection. Nothing is too much trouble and advice I have been given over the years has been helpful, sufficient and extremely professional.

In terms of instore shopping their staff are friendly, professional and second to none in terms of excellent customer service. I would not dream of going anywhere else. I have used Pet Connection for many years and many dogs.
